Mitbana – the joint venture of Mitsubishi Corp and Surbana Jurong along in partnership with Indonesian property developer Intiland Development is launching Green Bestari Park, an integrated township that is a transit-oriented development within Talaga Bestari in Tangerang, in the Indonesian Greater Jakarta area.

Mitbana owns a 70% part of Inti Mitbana Development, a joint partnership together with Sinar Puspapersada (a subsidiary of Intiland) that is executing the development. Mitbana is responsible for the masterplan urban design, planning and urban design for the project, whereas Intiland will be responsible for the land preparation process as well as infrastructure developer and local stakeholder involvement.

The township, which covers 51 ha, will be constructed in three phases. The initial phase comprising 14 ha, which includes cluster-landed housing, retail spaces, F&B outlets and a clubhouse for residents. Further stages will comprise Green Bestary Park will include additional housing units and a park for the city as well as commercial spaces and a TOD that is integrated with the planned mass rapid station for transit on the east-west MRT line that connects Balaraja with Cikarang. “Together with Mitbana the goal we share is to develop a high-quality, sustainable development that will revitalize this Talaga Bestari area and foster the development of an inclusive social network,” states Permadi Indra Yoga, Intiland’s executive director of business development.

Daisuke Kobayashi who is deputy chief operational office for Mitbana and the president director of Inti Mitbana Development, concurs. “Our concept to Green Bestari Park extends to redefine the future that will be sustainable and urban in Greater Jakarta,” he declares. He says that the the future developments planned for Green Bestari Park, such as the TOD and Green Connection, a proposed green boulevard which loops through the township. It will enable residents to enjoy an eco-friendly living space that is equipped with modern facilities.
